The Polls

I don't normally pay much attention to the college football polls. However, I do take note of them today after Auburn beats Kentucky to move to 6 & 0 to become the highest rated SEC team at the moment.

Auburn moved up a spot to seventh in this week's AP poll, and holds the same ranking in the USA Today/Coaches' Poll as well.

The Tigers are now the highest ranked SEC team.

Ohio State is the new No. 1.

The Tigers used a last-second field goal to beat Kentucky 37-34 Saturday night for the slight nudge in the poll.

Alabama is eighth, LSU is ninth and South Carolina is 10th in the AP poll. The coaches have South Carolina at 12, followed by Arkansas at 13 and Florida at 22.

Auburn will play Arkansas at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Jordan-Hare Stadium.
