Nell Fortner

I thank Nell Fortner for her contributions to Auburn basketball. I wish she had won more, considering the reputation built by her predecessor, Joe Ciampi. However, I was pleased that her team put a royal beatdown on Alabama yesterday, 81-40. Fortner finishes her Auburn career with a 13-3 winning record against Alabama. That is a proud!

Auburn Basketball

I do not know what to think about Auburn basketball or Barbee. The loss to Alabama is embarassing. We had twenty turnovers and were 12 of 26 from free throws. The Alabama players deserve to mock us on Twitter. I hope we use that material for motivation not only for the next time we play Alabama, but also for regaining at least a modicum of respect in this program.

Auburn Sports Update (6)

After winning at home against Georgia, the Tigers go to The Hump in Starkville where you certainly don't expect a win. We don't get the win, but doggone it I am impressed by the effort. The Tigers lead by one at the half, the Dogs run up a 13 point lead in the second half, but Auburn fights back the entire game. The final score is 91 to 88 The Tigers are in this game to the end. Just when it looks hopeless, the Tigers keep fighting back. We score 88 points. That in itself is amazing. Great, great effort!
