The Foundation Has Been Laid

The Tigers run in the SEC tournament comes to an end after 3 wins with a 91 to 67 loss to undefeated Kentucky, but as Coach Pearl says, the foundation has been laid for the future.  The future of Auburn basketball seems bright.

Auburn's Run in the Tournament

Our run in the tournament continues with a wild and improbable 73 to 70 win over LSWho.  I heard the end on the radio.  KT Harrell buries a 3 to send it into overtime.  Auburn never leads in the game until overtime.  That's 3 wins in 3 days.  You think we don't have the best coach in the SEC?  You think better days are not ahead for the AU basketball program?  Then think again.  For the first since Cliff Ellis's brief heyday, I am enthusiastic about Auburn basketball.  If we beat Kentucky tomorrow. . . oh, I know it won't happen, but if it happens it will shock waves throughout the college basketball world.

Beats TAMU 66 to 59 to win the first two games of the SEC Tournament.  YES!  How bracing!  We are not going to win the tournament but this certainly gives us momentum heading into next year.
