Now comes the slow wait until the start of the 2017 Auburn football season.  We can make its.

Once again it's time for another A-Day.  I watch this scrimmage as always knowing that what we see today is not necessarily what we will see in the Fall.

Like most fans I want to see Jarrett Stidham and I am not disappointed.  I will be shocked if he is not the starting quarterback next season.  In the first half he throws for 267 yards hitting 16 out of 20 attempts.    It looks like he can make all of the throws.  He can stand in the pocket or he can scoot if need be.  The first offense has good tempo.  Stidham looks like a veteran.  He looks very accurate throwing down the field.  There is talent out there on offense.

The passing game should be very improved.  The running game looks like the very same Gus Malzahn plays we are used to.  I have no doubt that the offense WILL be more balanced.  I see bubble screens but more throws down the field mixing short and long passes.

Kamryn Pettway is held out.  Kerryon Johnson looks good running the football.  C.J. Tolbert looks a comer at running back.  Nate Craig -Myers makes some big catches.  Nick Coe looks good coming in at defensive end as do Nick Ruffin and Paul James III.   Daniel Thomas seems to always be around the ball.  The only things I wonder about is that we see a lot of field goal attempts like we did during the last season.  Daniel Carlson has nothing to prove, does he?  One interesting thing is that Carlson does the punting today, which tells me that we don't have another punter.

Malik Willis looks good at QB.  I'm betting he's the #2 signal caller.  Good arm strength and quickness.

The second half goes quickly as the clock is allowed to run.  The main thing I notice in the abbreviated second half is hard running by Malik Miller.  He runs tough after contact.

For the record the final score is Blue 37 White 13.
