My First Auburn Football Game

My first Auburn football game was in September of 1968 when I was there as a first quarter freshman. Back then under the quarter system, fall quarter didn't start till late September, the first game was played before school even started. It was disappointing as we lost to SMU. We played 10 games in those days. My first memory of the first game of the season was not good. That's why I am always nervous about the first game of the year. It started 42 years ago.
