Is Cam Newton a Heisman Candidate?
If so, I'm happy for Newton. But I have bad memories of when Pat Sullivan and Bo Jackson won the Heisman. It was a big distraction and I did not like it for the team's sake. Good for the player, and you have to be happy for him, but it can be bad for the team in my opinion. Yet it's good no doubt good for Auburn University.

I remember Stephen Davis being a Heisman candidate, and he did not rush for 100 yards until the Mississippi State game that year.
