The 2014 Ole Miss Game

(From Tunica) We were at the game last night in the cold at Vaught-Hemingway to see our Tigers beat the Rebs 35 to 31.  What an exciting back and forth game it was!

We get to talk in person this morning about the game.  The future has never been brighter for Auburn football.

(Back in Pelham)  This was an exciting game.  The Tigers led 35 to 31.  Ole Miss drove inside the 10 and on a short pass to their main receiver Treadwell Kris Frost knocked the ball out of his hands just before he crossed the goal line and McKinzy recovered in the end zone.  The call was touchdown but the review gave the ball to Auburn.  The Rebels had one last possession but after 4 straight incomplete passes Auburn wins the football game.

The one big negative in this game was penalties.  The Tigers are penalized for an astounding 145 yards including 105 in the first half.  The Tigers roll up over 500 yards of total offense against a vaunted Rebel defense.   Our offense was very balanced.

At this venue we enjoy the BBQ.  We enjoy the comfort of having plenty of room to stand although we split the handicap chairs per half.

It WAS cold.  It sure was, but the win warmed us up.
