We expected to beat Utah State but we certainly did not expect to have to win the way we did in the very last seconds in a desperate comeback. The 21-point favored Tigers score 14 points in the last two minutes to win 42 to 38.
This will be quickly forgotten by Saturday when Mississippi State comes to town. Tiger fans are nervous now. We can see visions of a big losing season or we can conjure up a vision of a team correcting its mitakes from Saturday and going on to a respectable season. If we beat the Bulldogs, the ship will be righted at least for a week. If we lose a close game, then well, we'll see. But if we lose big it will be a bad feeling.
Next Saturday will be most interesting.
