Auburn starts the 2021 season with 2 games we are supposed to win. Akron was last week. Alabama State kicks off at 11 today on the SEC Channel. This before the challenge vs. Penn. State next week. I am glad we play instate teams. Auburn is a 49 point favorite. Shaun Shivers is not playing today.
FIRST QUARTER
First Auburn drive. 34 yd. Carlson FG. Team not as sharp as last week so far. Alabama State looks better than Akron.

Sloppy so far with two holing penalties. Two drops so far with Cailyn Newton dropping a sure TD pass.

Penalties have hurt Auburn particularly when you get inside the one and get a penalt

THIRD QUARTER
ASU surprises by a perfectly executed pooch onside kick recovered by the Hornets on the Auburn 43. But the visitors go three and out. Auburn starts at their 10. Will our offense show up now and execute?

Jarquez Hunter goes 94 yards for a touchdown, the longest TD run in Auburn history untouched. A record setting run breaks the Auburn record from 1936. Jarquez the freshman puts his name early into the Auburn record book. Auburn has exploded in the third quarter. Hunter has rushed for over a hundred yards in each of his first two games.

Sean Jackson is impressive, a hard runner with a forward lean.

This has been like two different games. After a sloppy first half the Tigers crank it up in the second half.
