My View

Lisening to the Auburn radio broadcast I was not fully aware of the double dribble, obvious in replay, after the game.  Our announcers, Bramblett and Coach Smith, did not make a big deal of it.  They were focused, Rod Bramblett in particular, on the last play.

Rod was all but shouting, "I can't believe this!  There was no foul.  Auburn is being robbed.  That call  at this point of the game with less than a second remaining, should never have been made."  Sonny agreed.

Auburn was robbed.  Technically it was probably a foul, but at that point in the game with less than a second remaining, the official should not have blown his whistle.

I am still bitter about it.  Great season sure, but Auburn should be playing for the national championship tonight.

  1. Considering how few fouls were called throughout the game, that foul call on the last play should not have been made. The referees were letting them play, so that foul call is incongruous to how the referees were calling the game up to that point.
