This has been a strange series. Before divisional play started in 1992 Auburn seldom played LSU. Since then we play them every year. This is one game where the unexpected can happen.
LSU is a solid 14 to 17 point favorite in Baton Rouge. There is no realistic reason to think Auburn will win this game. All we can say is that IF somehow the Tigers can do it how wonderful it would be to start the season at 4 and 0 with a bye week coming up.
I wonder what if anything Gus Malzahn has been saving for this game. Is Nick Marshall ready for the big lights of Death Valley? Will our defense hold up? Will this team come out ready to play or will this team be tentative? We need a good start. If we get behind early and it start to snowball it could be bad.
