Pawlowski is Fired

Well, what did you expect?  Auburn finishes 10th in a 14-team league and loses to Alabama in a play-in game in the SEC Tournament in Coach Pawloski's 5th year.  According to Phillip Marshall, the team faces in effect a major rebulding job next year.  What choice did Jacobs have?  None.

    Hiring coaches has become routine for JJ. I wish the best for Coach Paw, but one regional and one winning conference record in five seasons is unacceptable. I still wonder why they ran off Renfroe. Maybe Casey Dunn will get a look.

    There is mention of the South Alabama coach. There is mention of the pitching coach at North Carolina. There is mention of Butch somebody who is at Mississippi State. I have mixed feelings about Casey Dunn. He took Samford to their first NCAA appearance last year but his overall W/L record is not so good i think.

    I just read Phillip Marshall's list of potential candidates. There are some good sounding names on that list. We should be able to get a goood one if JJ is willing to pay the big bucks.
