Beating Ole Miss

The Tigers ride a 3-run homer by Kevin Patterson and a strong relief pitching performace by Slade Smith to beat Ole Miss today 9 to 7 to win the weekend series. Patterson's homer came in the 7th and gave Auburn the lead for the first time at 8 to 7. Smith held solid in relief to solidify the win. The Tigers are 9 & 9 in conference play. At the moment it looks good for a trip to Hoover, but next week will be very tough with a trip to South Carolina looming.
