The Day Before the Start of the 2011 Season

Auburn seems to be about a 22-pt. favorite over Utah State. I hope that's right.

Historically Auburn does not play so well in the first game of the season. I remember too many losses and slow starts.

I expect the same thing this year in particular with such a young team. I expect us to score a lot of points but give up a bunch of points. At times the offense will look brilliant. At times it will look foolish. The same with the defense.

I'll say Auburn 48 Utah State 27.
